Animals, God, and humans oh my!Ok so I have decided to talk about animals today! Random topic, I know, but here we go! Animals have been viewed in many aspects of human history. Food, companionship, protection, even as gods. Now a days, there is a constant battle between which is "better", cat or dog? Humans mainly look at animals as companions now. Yes, we use cows and other animals as a source of food, but tell me this. How many people can go to a farm and spend a day with the cows or chickens there and not think about them being a source of food? We may crack some jokes, but we don't really think that the beast with the big brown eyes that is staring us down may be on our plate the next day. Catholics believe that animals have no "souls". They believe that animals are different from humans, which is true. However, I believe if something can feel pain and have an attachment to something then it has a soul. Did you know elephants have one mate? They mourn for weeks once their mate passes away. Heck, I have seen ducks mourn for a lost companion! The duck guarded it's dead friend from anything that got near it. It was sad, but it made me think, can we learn something from animals? Scientists believe we "evolved" from monkeys. Ok, what if we did. Oh no! God created man! This is against God!! No it isn't! Read the Bible! It read "God created earth in seven days". Yeah, seven days God time! Seven day's in God's time could be seven million years in our time! That brings in dinosaurs and evolution! God created creatures to be able to adjust to their natural environment. Why can't we evolve? Now, I am not saying I believe in God. I am not saying I don't either. I just don't want to start a fight. So, what can we learn from animals? Well take your dog on a walk and watch them. Notice how they have unlimited urine so it seems? As we all know, urine marks a dog's territory. Most animals follow this as well as rubbing their bottoms on the ground. What can we learn from this? Well, our home is our home! I see some houses that get disrespected by people who vandalize their property, just because they are bullies. Well, our home is our home. We can defend it how we choose. Most animals have a life time partner. Some don't, others do. Just like humans, some people get that life time love while others never settle down. I have always heard that animals can sense your true nature. If you are naturally mean, they will sense this and never really bond with you. If you are kind, you usually can make any animal like you. This tells us something about our sense of judgement. We can judge people by the way they look, but why can't we see them for who they really are? Am I just a pretty face, or am I a creative and thoughtful person? Is that girl in the corner who reads all the time a freak like everyone says? Or is she a sensitive and shy girl who wishes the contents of her book would hide her from the gossip? We need to be kind to those who need us, even if we don't know them. Listen to your heart and your instincts. Maybe that bully just needs to cry? That is all for right now, random I know! Well peace out everyone!! ![]() My mood: very sleepy
